My journey: a lifetime of community dedication

I have proudly called the Bushwick community home for over 30 years. My journey began immediately after arriving from the Dominican Republic, where I immersed myself in community building. I served as the Block Leader for the Northern Brooklyn Resident Association (NBRA), actively contributing to the growth and development of our neighborhood. For over two decades, I've been a committed member of Community Board #4, consistently representing and supporting the community's needs. Additionally, I spent over ten years on the County Committee, further solidifying my dedication to public service. These experiences have shaped my understanding of our community's strengths and challenges, and fuel my passion for positive change.

Our vision: empowering the 53rd district

As a district leader, my primary goal is to empower the 53rd District. I regularly collaborate with local leaders to organize impactful workshops and distribute essential items like toys and food to those in need. My active participation on the community board and neighborhood association allows me to directly address and champion our residents' concerns. My deepest hope is to unite people, fostering a strong sense of community spirit, and working hand-in-hand to gain collective power and effect lasting, positive change in our district.
